Is the Hackathon event organised and run by Imperial College London?

Yes, Imperial College London is hosting the Hackathon for the second year in Hong Kong. The event is led by our International Student Recruitment Team, with invaluable support from the Imperial College Alumni Association of Hong Kong (ICAAHK).

What should I do if I want to edit my application?

If you would like to edit your application, submit an email to Senior International Officer Jake Ganymede at j.ganymede@imperial.ac.uk with your Application ID, full name, email address, and contact number to notify us about any changes to your Hackathon application.

What should I do if I would like to withdraw my application?

We’ll be sad to see you go but appreciate you letting us know. If you would like to withdraw, please send an email to j.ganymede@imperial.ac.uk with your Application ID, full name, email address, and contact number to notify us.

I submitted my individual application, but I have now found a team. What should I do?

Please send an email to j.ganymede@imperial.ac.uk to inform us of your team members’ full names and email addresses, and a team name.

Can I participate in the Initial Pitch or Final Pitch remotely?

Physical attendance is mandatory for the Final Pitch. The Initial Pitch will be via video submissions from the participating teams, while the Final Pitch will only be held in Hong Kong. Failure to physically attend in either event will result in your team’s disqualification.

What language can I conduct my pitch in?

You will be required to pitch in English only during the application period. Your deliverables will also need to correspond to English.

Will travel expenses be covered?

All travel expenses, including but not limited to air travel, visa fees and accommodation, will be borne by the participants at their own expense.
